A: Talentbank Future Leaders Award is an initiative developed and launched by Talentbank.

Q: If I get shortlisted but do not get selected as a finalist, can I apply again next year?
A: Yes, you can! Each recognition is on a yearly-basis, hence all applicants have the opportunity to reapply in the following year as long as they are still a current undergraduate student during the application period.
Q: I'm not graduating yet. Is the hiring period still applicable to me?
A: For students who have yet to graduate, the hiring period will be for them to secure internships.

Q: Who’s eligible for this award?
A: Any current undergraduate student!
Q: I’m an international student, but I’m studying in a Malaysian university. Am I eligible for this award?
A: Yes you are! We aim to recognise talents for their abilities and achievements, hence we highly encourage you to apply and participate in these awards.
Q: I’m a Malaysian student, but I’m studying abroad in foreign universities. Am I eligible for this award?
A: Yes! Though we are based in Malaysia, we work with multi-national organisations to recognise the top talents in the market.
Q: What’s the age limitation for this award?
A: There are no age limits, so as long as you are an undergraduate student, you may apply.
Q: I’ll be graduating this December, am I still eligible for this award?
A: As long as you are still an undergraduate student during the application period, your application will be considered and screened.
About the Award
Q: What is this award all about?
A: This award aims to recognise the top university students in the market, across various fields of study.
Q: Why is the selection based on fields of study?
A: We recognise that students from different fields of study will have different achievements and experiences based on their academic background, hence we want to give everyone an equal opportunity to stand a chance to be awarded.
Q: How is this different from other student awards?
A: We aim to not only recognise the top talents, but to also enhance their employability by providing employability preparation workshops for our top Future Leaders, as well as provide the opportunity to network with our employment partners.
Q: When was this award established?
A: Established in 2021, our team identified a gap in student recognition to contribute to their employability upon graduation.
Q: Who is involved in the awards?
A: Aside from the students who win the awards, we will have our Talentbank awards team as well as industry specialists and employment partners involved.
Registration
Q: How many stages are there in the selection process?
A: There are two stages: the first round of selection will be screening of your profile based on the documents you have attached (e.g. resume), whereas the second round will involve a video interview and undergo screening by our panel of esteemed judges.*

Q: What do I need to prepare?
A: Before filling up the form, students should prepare the most updated version of their resume and most recent transcript.
Q: How do I know if I’ve been selected?
A: All applicants will receive an email on the status of their application once application closes.
Q: Why are there two stages?
A: The first stage is to recognise potential talents and leaders, whereas the second stage is to recognise the best of the best talents, especially after undergoing the complimentary workshops hosted by School of Careers.
Q: Are there any registration fees?
A: No, there are no costs to register for this award.
Workshops
Q: How many workshops do I have to attend?
A: All of them! The complimentary employability preparation series is an intensive yet interactive lineup of workshops that aim to equip you with the necessary skills to thrive in the workplace.
Q: Who is delivering the workshops?
A: Brought to you by School of Careers, the workshops will be delivered by experts and industry professionals who’ve had 5 or more years of working experience
Q: When are the workshops taking place?
A: Due to the large number of applicants, we will be having various intakes spread throughout the award period. Further details will be sent to your email should you be shortlisted for the first stage.
Q: How long is one workshop?
A: Workshops may vary, depending on the topic and what will be covered. More details will be disseminated upon successful shortlisting.
Q: Can I choose which workshops to attend?
A: All workshops have been specially curated to meet the hiring needs of employers and to enhance your employability, hence you’ll be required to attend all workshops.

Q: What’s the difference between becoming a finalist in my field of study compared to the other awards?
A: You may have the opportunity to be selected for more than one award, depending on your achievements, background, and performance throughout the award period.
Q: What do I get from being a Talentbank Ambassador?
A: As a Talentbank Ambassador, you get firsthand access to all webinars, events, and projects launched by Talentbank. You’ll also gain special incentives through our affiliate program.
Q: How does the interview guaranteed work?
A: Upon successful selection as the top finalist, your resume will be submitted to our employer database of top graduate employers (based on our Graduates’ Choice Award) and you’ll stand the chance of being invited to at least one interview.
Q: How will the one-on-one career mentorship program work?
A: For the top Future Leaders, you will be able to schedule one-on-one calls with the allocated judge from our panel to answer your questions and give you career advice throughout the hiring period from January to March 2022.
